Sometimes it is not possible to delete files and folders on the Windows operating system. It is common today. You will receive instructions as: "This program is in use" or something like that. You can delete files and folders easily using safe mode with command prompt.
First find where the file on your computer. Suppose if the file name is "imp.txt" and if its in the "My Documents", then the full address will be C: Documents and SettingsUsernameMy Documents
Write address on paper.
Now restart the computer. F8 when booting press.
Now you will find the advanced boot options menu.
Then, Go to safe mode with command section.
Now boot the computer in DOS. Then type,
cd C: Documents and SettingsUsernameMy
Then type of imp.txtNow the file will be deleted!
